Transcending the budget
Article Abstract:
Bronstein/Berman photography studio in New York was designed by Kevin Walz on a $38/sq ft budget. Walz also had to make sure that the three photography studios and other rooms retained acoustical isolation while the high-traffic expected in commercial photography needed strength and toughness in the materials used. The original walls, floor and ceilings were retained to save on costs. Walz used low-cost materials such as fiberglass, chipboard and acoustical tile for the furniture and fixtures.

Cool abstraction
