Paul Taylor's American paradise
Article Abstract:
Choreographer Paul Taylor expands on classical techniques to give ballet a more modern interpretation. Taylor uses groundedness, propulsive force and other movements not usually associated with ballet to give different translations of dancers' roles and performances. These movements also reinterpret the dancers' relationships to each other and to the audience.
