Article Abstract:
The annual Youth America Grand Prix ballet competition is argued to feature the best ballet dancers of New York. The competition not only allows young students to work with guest teachers and communicate with each other across national and cultural borders, but also offers scholarships, workshops, and even a chance to win a contract to American Ballet Theater's Studio Company, and for local audiences, it is an opportunity to see the coming generation of great dancers before the best appear on the famed dance stages of the world.
