The new Grand Prix is impressivley styled, without the tacky side cladding. The optional supercharged Series II 3800 V-6 delivers an exiting 240 bhp and 280 lb-ft of torque. It handles slightly less well than the Ford Taurus SHO, but it is livelier and more fun to drive, and, at $24,950, about $1000 lees.

Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport: from racing's history pages to your driveway

The 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, with a list price of $37,225, is the first production Corvette to make use of the 'Grand Sport' name, made famous in racing. The Grand Sport's V-8 engine achieves 330 bhp and goes 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds. There will be about 1,000 produced in 1996.
