Porsche is slated to offer its newest sports model, the Boxster, to the public sometime before the end of the year 1996. The Boxster will be marketed as Porsche's lowest-cost sports car at $40,000. This model will compete with other convertible models by BMW, Rover, and Alfa Romeo.
