A road test was performed on the new launch 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS500 which is declared a direct competitor of the two-door BMW 645Ci, which slots between the 5- and 7- series like the CLS does the E- and S-classes. The new car priced at $74,500 features a power of 302bhp at 5600rpm, torque of 339lb-ft at 2700rpm and a wheelbase of 112.4 inches.
