A tale of two-strokes
Article Abstract:
Two-stroke engines are not manufactured for automobiles because they produce high levels of nitrogen oxides that are unlikely to meet future air quality standards. Facts gleaned from their development are used to develop four-stroke engines with direct-fuel-injection.
