The Villager LS has a well-designed interior that features a rear seat that rolls forward to create additional cargo space. There is ample room for seven passengers. The V-6 engine provides adequate power and steering is smooth. The Villager sells for about $22,500. The Quest has virtually the same features.

The Scarab - was this the first minivan?

The 1936 Stout Scarab is a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive, six-passenger, two-door van that is believed to have been the first true minivan, a distinction previously assigned to the 1984 Caravan or Voyager. The van was designed by William Stout at his Stout Engineering Laboratories.

Long-term Chrysler Town & Country LX1
Article Abstract:
A 1996 Chrysler Town & Country minivan ($30,705) needed three unscheduled maintenance stops and seven warranty repairs during a 40,000-mi long-term test. Performance and handling were very good, and cargo hauling ability was excellent.
