The CART FedEx series features three grand prix automobile races which were held on May 31, Jun 7 and Jun 21 1998. These races include the Miller Lite 200 in West Allis, WI, ITT Automotive Detroit Grand Prix in Detroit, MI, and the Budweiser/G.I. Joe's 200 in Portland, OR, which were won by racers Jimmy Vasser and Alex Zanardi.

Victory to the Swift (and Michael too)

Michael Andretti recorded the fastest time at the Marlboro Grand Prix of Miami held at Homestead in Florida on Mar 15, 1998. However, he failed to duplicate the feat at the Budweiser 500 in Japan on Mar 28, 1998. That event was won by Adrian Fernandez aboard a Reynard-Ford Cosworth.

First time's charm
Article Abstract:
Race car driver Paul Tracy claimed that he is still happy despite finishing only second to Michael Andretti during the 1997 Marlboro Grand Prix of Miami. Tracy felt this way because it is his first time to ever finish the first race of the PPG CART World Series season.
