Cars costing more than $30,000 are measured for handling. The Acura NSX-T, BMW Z3, Ferrari F355, Porsche Boxster, Corvette, Porsche 911, Dodge Viper GTS, and Toyota Supra Turbo were measured. The Acura NSX-T was the winner, based on factors including roadholding, acceleration, and deceleration.

How tough are the compact spares?

A Ford Taurus with a compact spare tire mounted on the front accelerates faster, and braking distance increases a few feet. A Chevrolet Corvette exhibits similar performance, but steering and handling are more difficult with a spare on the rear.
