The CPA's who joined the department of foreign affairs and trade's (DFAT) as accounting students share their experience about the rigors in development of a career in foreign affairs. Their advice to graduates considering joining DFAT is that they must think beyond accounting and must be ready for overseas services and to go to a difficult operating environment where there are no support structures that one would have in other countries.

Who is paying their fair share?
Article Abstract:
The amount of tax paid by companies in Australia is compared with the Australian individuals. It is stated that companies have more options than individuals to minimize their taxes and pay a marginal rate of thirty percent compared with the common man who pays a marginal rate of 48.5 percent.
