Financial advisers are faced with the problem of keeping clients aware of new legal developments which affect their clients' estate plans. 1997 changes include trust tax rules, law on wills, and management of pensions and life insurance. Investors should review their financial documents to insure that the desired beneficiaries in fact receive their funds.
