International consumer credit opportunities: a revolution in Europe?
Article Abstract:
Europe holds a great promise of a consumer credit revolution marked by a change from a cash-based economy to a credit economy. With 350 million consumers and a GDP of $6 billion, the continent is expected to experience a renewal of consumer activity once the economic recession in the area begins to subside. However, warnings must be sounded before credit companies invest in the region. Europe must be regarded not as a single entity, but as a conglomerate of 12 highly political societies characterized by differences inlanguage, culture and legal systems. An aversion to credit is one feature that Europeans have in common. Furthermore, strict financial data privacy laws and the lack of a proper manner of estimating and managing credit risk should also be considered by future investors. Nevertheless, emerging trends indicate that there is a move away from these restrictions to a more viable market situation.

Responsibility in leadership
Article Abstract:
Vision, faith and responsibility are the three essential elements of leadership. To be effective, leaders must have a vision of what they want to achieve and must be able to communicate this vision to the entire organization. They must also have enough faith in other organizational members to delegate authority and trust that other people will be able to achieve the desired outcome. Finally, leaders must assume responsibility for the outcome, whether this be success or failure. The 'one-person' theory of leadership holds that leadership qualities start to spread when one person takes the initiative in assuming responsibilities and showing concern for others. Once an individual begins to act like a leader, other people tend to follow suit.
