Playing fair: the ACCC's enforcement policy

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is responsible for ensuring that the marketplace remains competitive, and that small businesses and consumers are protected from unfair business practices. The ACCC informs and educates small businesses about their responsibilities and rights under the Trade Practices Act. Under the provisions of the Act, the Commission may bring proceedings against companies.
