Position paper: computer crime legislation
Article Abstract:
In a position paper, the Legislative Committee of the International Credit Association addresses the elements of computer crime legislation, including the offenses, criminal law, civil penalties and venue. Intended for distribution to states without computer crime legislation an outline is given detailing: definitions, data or computer data, and access; five specific offence categories ranging from unauthorized access and altering, to falsifying data, breach of security, and willful interference; the criminal penalties; and the actual venue.

Casino credit - From two gambling areas: Reno and Atlantic City
Article Abstract:
Major casinos have the same credit practices and principles as any other business. The author discusses the credit operation of her employer, John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks, Nevada. The Nugget casino uses the major credit databases and a credit reporting company for the gaming industry, Central Credit Inc. Central Credit, which has a credit database superior to the credit reporting companies, aids the Nugget in obtaining credit information, cashing payroll and business checks, collecting bad debts, and training casino cashiers.
