Article Abstract:
Outgoing International Credit Assn (ICA) Chmn Charles A. Albright discusses the activities of the organization during his nine-month-tenure. The decreased membership experienced by the ICA was attributed to consolidations in the industry and is said to be one area that needed improvement. Promoting the advantages of membership by ICA members was recommended to encourage memberships. Other improvements in the organization were also disclosed which include revised financial statements and improved budgeting for better management information and control. Albright mentions the creation of a conference committee for the annual conference to be held on Jun 4-6, 1993 in Vancouver, British Columbia and describes the success of their 'Train the Trainers' consumer education program in the different states.

Article Abstract:
Andy Glover's involvement with the International Credit Association (ICA) began with his position as a part-time clerk in the mail room in 1986, his promotion as director of membership in 1989, and finally his appointment as director of education in 1992. As director of education at ICA, Glover is faced with the task of facilitating consumer credit education through the Challenge 2000 program. Through the program, Glover aims to provide teachers with the instructional materials necessary to increase credit awareness among young people. Glover hopes that Challenge 2000 will help prepare the youth for the important decisions concerning financial matters that they will be making as adults.
