Article Abstract:
The likely changes observed in Australia's property market through 2004 are predicted. Whilst a slide in residential profits is on the cards retail property has performed well, hence whilst demand for office space is expected to rise. It is proposed that one should remember that a financial services license is needed if an agent is recommending that clients move into property trusts, syndicates, or other collective investments.

Article Abstract:
The proliferation of funds of hedge funds in Australia is consistent with international trends reflecting the increasing institutionalisation of hedge funds. The funds of hedge funds aims to deliver investors increased liquidity, diversification benefits, fund selection and monitoring which comes at a significant cost to investors.
