Information on various bills related to workplace relations in Australia is presented. The Sex Discrimination Amendment Act 2003 prevents discrimination on the grounds of pregnancy, potential pregnancy and breastfeeding. The Industrial and Employee Relations Amendment Bill 2003 is designed to provide an incentive for small business to employ people. The Annual Leave Amendment Bill 2003 is aimed at removing the barrier preventing the accrual of annual leave by part-time employees.

Flexible leave options
Article Abstract:
A variety of flexible leave options within the context of the ACTU's work and family test case that were responded by Australian Industry Group (AIG) and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), are presented. The ACTU's submission focused on varying federal awards to enhance worker's leave entitlements.
