Ammonia-oxidizing bacteria along meadow-to-forest transects in the Oregon Cascade Mountains
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on NH (sub)3 -oxidizing bacteria in meadow-to-forest transects. The authors describe their study of NH (sub)3 -oxidizing bacteria community composition carried out by generating terminal restriction fragment length polymirphism fingerprints of NH (sub)3 monooxygenase subunit A gene amplified via PCR from soil DNA.

Detection of bacteria carrying the stx (sub)2 gene by in situ loop-mediated isothermal amplification
Article Abstract:
The authors have investigated bacteria which carry a specific gene. They describe the use of in situ DNA amplification technique for the microscopic detection of these bacteria.
