An interview goes up in smoke
Article Abstract:
The failed attempt of an investigative reporter to get an interview with a tobacco company, Philip Morris' research biologist, Jeffery Wigand is narrated. The reporter is left wondering that if a big company like Philip Morris mistreats reporters who are interested in giving positive coverage of the company, how would they behave if they have to reveal less flattering details to reporters.

Stem cell funnies
Article Abstract:
Tilo Kunath has described his work on trophoblast stem (TS) cell lines that have helped in studying the development of extraembryonic structures. He also revealed about cells (called extraembryonic endoderm or XEN cells) that are derived from the primitive endoderm, cells that line part of the inner cell mass and the inside of the trophectoderm.

The nucleosome untangled
Article Abstract:
Constant additions to the cast of histone marks and the regulatory proteins that make them, remove them or act upon their presence put the number of potential combinations in the astronomical range. Researchers are attacking histones by mutating them and are targeting modifiable lysines in an effort to dissect biological pathways and networks.
