Phylogeny of the replication regions of pPT23A-like plasmids from Pseudomonas syringae
Article Abstract:
Phylogeny of the Pseudomonas syringae replication regions of pPT23A-like plasmids is discussed. Results of study suggest that these plasmids in most cases were acquired early in evolution.

Closely related plasmid replicons coexisting in the phytopathogen Pseudomonas syringae show a mosaic organization of the replication region and altered incompatibility behavior
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the structure of related plasmid replicons coexisting in the phytopathogen, Pseudomonas syringae. Escherichia coli DH5-alpha was utilized for cloning processes. Plamid DNA minipreparations were then obtained by centrifugation. Experimental results indicated that the replicons supported a mosaic structure of the replication area and altered incompatibility behavior.

Replication regions from plant-pathogenic Pseudomonas syringae plasmid are similar to ColE2-related replicons
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the determinants and mechanisms that support the coexistence of highly associated replicons in Pseudomonas syringae. It was assumed that the replication origin of pPT23A functions as the prototype of a family of associated plasmids. The horizontal distribution of pathogenicity determinants was also examined. In addition, conventional molecular biology methods were utilized to carry out genetic manipulations.
