Deubiquitylation of histone H2A activates transcriptional initiation via trans-histone cross-talk with H3K4 di- and trimethylation
Article Abstract:
The transcriptional initiation is activated by the deubiquitylation of histone H2A via the cross-talk of trans-histone with H3K4 di- and trimethylation. The in vitro studies of ubH2A show inhibition of initiation of transcription due to inhibition of methylation of H3K4.

Degradation of histone mRNA requires oligouridylation followed by decapping and simultaneous degradation of the mRNA both 5' to 3' and 3' to 5'
Article Abstract:
The process of degradation of different histone mRNAs is discussed. The oligouridylation of the histone is followed by decapping, which causes the degradation from 5' to 3', as well as from 3' to 5'.

New ways to meet your (3') end-oligouridylation as a step on the path to destruction
Article Abstract:
The application of the oligouridylation pathway for the degradation of structured histone mRNAs is discussed. The technique has been found to be extremely efficient to meet the (3') end.
