Endocytosis conducts the cell signaling orchestra
Article Abstract:
Eukaryotic cells use endocytosis to regulate nutrient internalization, signal transduction, and the composition of the plasma membrane. However, a more complex picture is emerging in which endocytic pathways integrate diverse signals, thereby contributing to a higher level of cellular an organismal organization and thus entocytosis and cell signaling are inter-twined in many biological processes, such as cell motility and cell fate determination.

TTP specifically regulates the internalization of the transferrin receptor
Article Abstract:
Plasma membrane (PM) receptors are assembled from a basic structure of clathrin and clathrin adaptors. The modality of internalization of these plasma membranes is the responsibility of clathrin- coated pits (CCP) and TTP (SH3BP4), a SH3-containing protein, specifically regulates the internalization of the transferrin receptor.
