Insight into the origin of endemic Mediterranean ichthyofauna: phylogeography of Chondrostoma genus (Teleostei, Cyprinidae)
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on Chondrostoma species endemic to various Mediterranean rivers. The authors have established phylogenetic relationships among these species via the use of nucleotide sequence analyses of the cytochrome b mitochondrial gene.

The Origins of Iberian Horses Assessed via Mitochondrial DNA
Article Abstract:
The maternal phylogeography of native Barb, Exmoor, and Iberian horse breeds was researched. Findings indicated that Northern Iberian ponies are not the result of population replacement but the result of an introgression. Haplogroup data are provided.
