Genetic covariance structure of growth in the salamander Ambystoma macrodactylum
Article Abstract:
The phenotypic and genetic covariance structure of length and mass growth trajectories in a natural population of larval ambystoma macrodactylum is described by using function-valued quantitative genetic analyses and principal decomposition. Most of the phenotypic and genetic variation in both growth trajectories appears to be confined to a single principal component describing a pattern of positive covariation among sizes across all ages.

Genetic relationship between olfactory response and fitness in cotesia glomerata (L.)
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to investigate genetic covariation between the odour-guided behavior and life-history traits and its genetic correlation with the efficiency of parasitism. Comparisons between the selected high and low-olfactory-response strains indicate the lack of correlated responses in the life-history traits to bidirectional selection on the odour-guided behavior.

Molecular and quantitative genetic divergence among populations of house mice with known evolutionary histories
Article Abstract:
Neutral molecular [F (sub ST)] vs. quantitative genetic [Q( sub ST)] comparisons were evaluated using laboratory populations of house mice with known evolutionary histories. It is found that F(sub ST) vs. Q(sub ST) comparisons produce the correct evolutionary inference at each level in the population hierarchy.
