Genetic structure of Algerian populations
Article Abstract:
A study reports on red cell blood group variation in samples from Algerian populations, geographical patterns of gene frequency distributions used to characterize the genetic structure of Algeria, and tests of the isolation-by-distance model through an examination of genetic diversity in the Maghrib regions. Results indicate the predominance of genetic homogeneity due to the gene flow between regions, and a combination of gene flow, ecology and history best explains the genetic structure of the Algerian population.

Apolipoproteins (apoproteins) and LPL variation in Mennonite population of Kansas and Nebraska
Article Abstract:
The frequencies of seven apoproteins (APO) and LPL loci in Mennonite populations from Kansas and Nebraska are compared. The result shows that only one locus of apoprotein (APOB Xbal), departed significantly from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, and frequencies of several APO loci are unique among Mennonites.

Heritability and anthropometric influences on human fertility
Article Abstract:
The path analysis was used to research the impact of anthropometrics and size-of-family of orientation on women's fertility. It was found in a survey conducted on women over 49 years of age who were either married or widowed, that there was a tendency for heavy women to have a higher fertility.
