Expression control and specificity of the basic amino acid exporter LysE of Corynebacterium glutamicum
Article Abstract:
Corynebacterium glutamicum and expression control and specificity of its basic amino acid exporter LysE are discussed. Lys E exports L-lysine and L-arginine at comparable rates. L-histidine and L-citrulline act as coinducers of lysE expression but are not exported by LysE.

Identification of genes involved in the activation of the Bacillus thuringiensis inhA metalloprotease gene at the onset of sporulation
Article Abstract:
Genes with a role in the activation of the Bacillus thuringiensis immune inhibitor A (inhA) metalloprotease gene at the onset of sporulation have been identified. Study has shown that the major regulator of inhA expression is AbrB. It acts as a repressor of inhA transcription.

Global expression profiling and physiological characterization of Corynebacterium glutamicum grown in the presence of L-valine
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on wild-type Corynebacterium glutamicum ATCC 13032. The authors report that the addition of L-valine to glucose minimal medium has not affected the growth of this bacterium but has inhibited the growth of derived valine strain VAL1 due to the increased level of ilvB protein product caused by valine.
