Adhesion of Pseudomonas fluorescens (ATCC 17552) to nonpolarized and polarized thin films of gold
Article Abstract:
Researchers studied the adhesion of Pseudomonas fluorescens to nonpolarized and polarized gold films under different ionic strengths. Adhesion was strongly inhibited at negative potentials, particularly at low ionic strength.

Electrochemical polarization-induced changes in the growth of individual cell and biofilms of Pseudomonas fluorescens (ATCC 17552)
Article Abstract:
A study on the effects of surface electrochemical polarization on the growth of cells of Pseudomonas flourescens (ATCC 17552) on gold electrodes was examined. The results showed that the biofilms grown under the positive potential were composed of short cells distributed in a large number of compact microcolonies.

In situ monitoring of the nascent Pseudomonas fluorescens biofilm response to variations in the dissolved organic carbon level in low-nutrient water by attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
The responses of nascent Pseudomonas fluorescens biofilms to variations in the dissolved organic carbon (DOC) level in tap water are observed in situ and in real time. Findings reveal that initial bacterial attachment, biofilm detachment, and regrowth kinetics are directly dependent on the dissolved organic carbon level.
