Menstrual cycle irregularities are associated with testosterone levels in healthy premenopausal women
Article Abstract:
The association between testosterone and menstrual irregularities in healthy premenopausal women is examined. Results have shown significant correlations between testosterone and menstrual irregularities, even when women with the most irregular cycles were excluded from analyses, and hence menstrual irregularities are associated with higher levels of circulating androgens.

Well-being changes among the Maya populations from Yucatan, Mexico, are discussed, based on infant mortality rate, frequency of linear enamel hypoplasia (LEH), sexual dimorphism in LEH, age of onset of LEH, and age at menarche. The effects of the tourist industry and increased state participation in the region are examined in relation to improved living conditions.
