Molecular characterization and expression patterns of a B-type nuclear lamin during sea urchin embryogenesis
Article Abstract:
A lamin has been identified in the sea urchin whose structure is more closely related to vertebrate lamin than invertebrate lamin. The lamin gene is not expressed in unfertilized sea urchin eggs and embryos until primary mesenchymal cells appear. The increase occurred primarily in the B-type lamin.
