N-myc can functionally replace c-myc in murine development, cellular growth, and differentiation
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the N-myc and c-myc of cellular oncogenes family. The replacement of the endogenous c-myc coding sequences with N-myc coding sequences in mice has been examined.

A critical role for DNA end-joining proteins in both lymphogenesis and neurogenesis
Article Abstract:
The inactivation of the XRCC4 gene in mice through gene-targeted mutation reveals that deficiency in XRCC4 results in several cellular and lymphocyte developmental problems. These defects are similar to those found in the presence of Ku and ligase IV deficiency, which implies that they are generated through an imperfect DNA end-joining pathway that features Ku, ligase IV and XRCC4. Unlike Ku deficiency, XRCC4 deficiency results in embryonic lethality in relation to massive apoptotic death of newly developed, postmitotic neurnoal cells across the developing nervous system.
