Ontogenetic change in relative performance of allozyme genotypes influences detection of heterosis in the earthworm Eisenia andrei
Article Abstract:
The relationship between allozyme genotypes and fresh weight was examined weekly throughout the life history of the earthworm Eisenia andrei for determining the existence of an ontogenetic component to variation in relative genotypic performance. An increase in apparent heterosis in ontogeny was observed inspite of variations in patterns of relative genotypic performance among loci.

Fecundity of transgenic wild-crop hybrids of Cucurbita pepo (Cucuritaceae): implications for crop-to-wild gene flow
Article Abstract:
The implications for crop-to-wild gene flow relative to fecundity of transgenic wild-crop hybrids of Cucurbita pepo (Cucuritaceae) are discussed. Comparisons of seedling survival, flowering times, and lifetime fecundity have been made, and data on the occurrence of putative vital symptoms have been collected.
