Phylogenetic diversity of rhizobial strains nodulating Robinia pseudoacacia L
Article Abstract:
Research analyzes the phenotypic and 16S rDNA characterization in 17 rhizobial strains associated with the black locust tree of Europe and 18 reference strains from Maryland. Genomic data indicate that majority of the former strains belong to the genus Mesorhizobium and display a high phenotypic and phylogenetic diversity.

Sigma A recognition sites in the Bacillus subtilis genome
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that a sigma(sup)A RNA polymerase cofactor recognition site exhibiting an extended -10 motifs can be constructed at the transcription initiation site of rapA and rapB promoters of Bacillus subtilis genome.
