Phylogenetics: Fisher's markers of admixture
Article Abstract:
The richness and variety of genetic markers available today should have resulted in a revolution in taxonomy but that is far from the case as the abundance of marker information instead of tidying up taxonomy has in fact changed the thinking on the taxa that are studied. Fisher's markers of admixture, a recombination between DNA from different sources that once created, inherited just like a point of mutation, should go some way in solving the problem.

Allelic diversity of metallothionein in Orchesella cincta (L.): Traces of natural selection by environmental pollution
Article Abstract:
The alleles and allele frequencies among European metal-stressed and reference populations are used to assess whether the metallothionein (mt) gene of Orchesella cincta (Collembola) is subjected to selection. The results have shown that the mt gene and its surrounding DNA region are affected by environmental metal contamination.

Population genetics: DNAs from the European Neolithic
Article Abstract:
The question of whether Europeans descended from the Paleolithic hunter-gatherers or the Neolithic farmers is debated. The crucial relevant evidence provided by studies of modern genetic diversity could help in finding the answer.
