Serologic and molecular characterization of Vibrio parahaemolyticus strains isolated from seawater and fish products of the Gulf of Mexico
Article Abstract:
The prevalence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in seawater, oyster, and fish samples collected from the Pueblo Viejo Lagoon in Veracruz an important estuary on the coastline of the Gulf of Mexico is discussed. The study was the first research to investigate isolation and the distribution of this pathogen in a Mexican coastal lagoon.
