Survey of genomic diversity among Enterococcus faecalis strains by microarray-based comparative genomic hybridization
Article Abstract:
A microarray-based comparative genomic hybridization is used to compare the genomic diversity among Enterococcus faecalis strains and Enterococcus faecalis V583. The results have shown that the genes related to stress tolerance is similar in V583 and Enterococcus faecalis strains, suggesting that Enterococcus faecalis has the ability to resist harsh conditions.

Effects of diverse environmental conditions on pluLC3 prophage stability in Lactococcus system
Article Abstract:
The effects of various growth conditions on spontaneous PhiLC3 prophage induction in Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris IMN-C184 was analyzed with a half fraction of a 4(super 4) factorial experimental design. The four factors included in the study were nutrient availability, acidity, osmolarity, and temperature, each applied at four levels.

Molecular and genetic characterization of Propionicin F, a bacteriocin from propionibacterium freudenreichii
Article Abstract:
The purification and characterization of propionicin F, the first bacteriocin isolated from propionibacterium freudenreichii is presented. The mass of purified bacteriocin is determined by mass spectrometry and the N-terminal amino acid sequence is determined by Edman degradation.
