The genetic basis for cardiomyopathy: from mutation identification to mechanistic paradigms
Article Abstract:
The review of the publications on heart failure, a pathophysiologic condition which occurs when the myocardial performance is insufficient to the adequately supply blood to the other organs is presented. The points of interest include cardiovascular pathologies, cardiac remodeling and genetic causes for cardiomyopathies.

Tissue-specific GATA factors are transcriptional effectors of the small GTPase RhoA
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the RhoA-like GTPases. Results indicate that the transcription factor GATA-4, a cardiac gene regulator, is the RhoA signaling mediator and is involved in the sarcomere assembly control in cardiomyocytes.
