The state of regenerative medicine
Article Abstract:
North Carolina is found to have a good deal of resources for the development of cell therapy and many regenerative medicines, which uses the stem cells for the treatment of a variety of diseases by reconstituting the blood and immune systems of the patients. In spite of the absence of a specific plan to support the effort, the state ranks high in disease prevalence in these areas and can easily attain a top position with a little more planning and attention.

North Carolina, in spite of facing a significant shortage of traditional sources of startup funds, plays host to a large number of researches in the biomedical fields and produces intellectual property, as well as scientist-entrepreneurs for the support. Most of the Universities, state-government centers and venture capital companies provide the required financial support, which helps in the state's business and economic development.
