Microbial population structures in soil particle size fractions of a long-term fertilizer field experiment
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the microbial population structures. The response of these structures to the changes in quality of the organic substrates in particle-size fractures from the soils of a long-term fertilizer experiment has been investigated.

Comparative phylogenetic assignment of environmental sequences of genes encoding 16S rRNA and numerically abandant culturable bacteria from an anoxic rice paddy soil
Article Abstract:
Research conducted on the comparative analysis of two different gene encoding 16S rRNA data to find possible matches between them is presented. Results indicate that the isolates are predominant bacterial group representatives and demonstrate the structural composition of the anoxic rice soil bacterial community.

Thermicanus aegyptius gen. nov., sp. nov., isolated from oxic soil, a fermentative microaerophile that grows commensally with the thermophilic acetogen Moorella thermoacetica
Article Abstract:
Research conducted on two thermophilic organisms to characterize and to understand the basis of their interactions is presented. Results indicate activity induced trophic links between soil bacteria and temperature induced soil harboring of uncharacterized microaerophiles.
