Uncoupling integrin adhesion and signaling: the beta(sub)ps cytoplasmic domain is sufficient to regulate gene expression in the Drosophila embryo
Article Abstract:
Oligomerization of the 47-amino-acid beta(sub)ps is enough to begin a signaling pathway that regulates gene expression. Research with Drosophila embryos has shown integrin-mediated cell adhesion is not necessary between endodermal cells and the surrounding mesoderm to permit integrin target gene expression.

Cop9/signalosome subunits and Pcu4 regulate ribonucleotide reductase by both checkpoint-dependent and -independent mechanism
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on signalosomes which regulate cullin-dependent ubiquitin ligases. The authors demonstrate that signalosome subunits are required to regulate ribonucleoside reductase via small protein degradation.
