p300 and estrogen receptor cooperatively activate transcription via differential enhancement of initiation and reinitiation
Article Abstract:
Estrogen-/antiestrogen-regulated AF-2-dependent transcriptional activation was carried out with chromatin templates in vitro with purified full-length human estrogen receptor (ER). Whether or not purified human p300 can act as a transcriptional coactivator was studied. Without ligand-activated ER, p300 has little effect on transcription, but there is a synergistic effect when the two are together. ER shows dual functions in transcription initiation/reinitiation in two phases. Transcription activation by ligand-activated ER and p300 are cooperative in increasing efficiency or productive transcription initiation. Then ER promotes reassembly of the transcription preinitiation complex.

Trabid, a new positive regulator of Wnt-induced transcription with preference for binding and cleaving K63-linked ubiquitin chains
Article Abstract:
The application of Trabid as a new positive regulator of the Wnt-induced transcription and signaling in mammalian and Drosophila cells is discussed. Trabid is shown to exhibit a preference towards the binding and cleaving of the K63-linked ubiquitin chain, which is extremely important during the transcription.
