The US Chamber of Commerce has launched the International Business Exchange, better known as IBEX, to give small business the same access to global markets big businesses have. The system, once installed in a computer, allows users to make business offers and seeks potential matches.

A zone of relief from regulation?

Sen John D. Ashcroft has introduced a bill to establish 'urban regulatory-relief zones' to encourage small companies to set up business in run down urban areas. The businesses in the proposed zones would be exempt from some environmental and safety regulations.
