Amcor is in trouble after getting involved in price fixing cartel followed by a spate of resignations including that of its Chief Executive. Although the Chairman had confessed about the breach of Trade Practices Act, it might still have to face the penalty set forth by Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC).

Government wins, bet on it

The Victorian Government has announced a review of the wagering and gaming licenses, and the report is expected sometime in 2007. For the gaming majors, Tabcorp and Tattersall, an early extension of their licenses would help in consolidating their businesses.
