Bosnian Serb military withdraws from Sarajevo area
Article Abstract:
NATO forces took over jurisdiction of Sarajevo, Bosnia, after Serb, Croat and Muslim forces withdrew from the city on Feb 3, 1996, in accordance with the Paris Peace accord. However, the fragile peace was threatened when Serbs protested the arrest of two senior officials on war crimes charges.

Warring parties in former Yugoslavia agree to U.S.-brokered peace plan
Article Abstract:
Serb, Croat and Bosnian Muslim forces agreed on Sep 8, 1995, to a tentative peace plan that would split Bosnia into two independent republics. Muslims and Croats would get 51% of the land and the Serbs 49%. NATO continued to bomb Serb forces despite the agreement.
