Building materials industry
Article Abstract:
Favorable employment trends, falling interest rates, and weather trends in the six months of 1998 have all had an impact on the building materials industry and fundamentals should remain positive through 1999. There are a number of buying opportunities for investors in this industry in 1998.

Building materials industry
Article Abstract:
The economic conditions for the building materials industry remain strong in 1998 with lower interest rates and high demand for homes in the US. These stocks have underperformed the market, however, in spite of these conditions and the future of the industry remains unclear. The interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve in Oct 1998 is the key to industry growth and investors need to focus on only the most timely stocks.
