Business as usual: The acceptance and perpetuation of corruption in organizations
Article Abstract:
Recent scandals like Enron, WorldCom and Parmalat reveal some alarming information about the condoning and perpetuating of frauds in organizations today. The most surprising element is the involvement and cooperation of socially responsible employees. The main reasons for this are suggested as rationalization of negative feelings and socialization tactics to further neutralize regrets stemming from unethical behaviour. The various forms of these tactics are discussed and remedies are suggested.
