The remarkable strength of the new-car market is smashing the used-car industry as sales of new vehicles have increased by 9.6 percent but the sales of used cars have fallen by 15-20 percent. The new-cars are too attractive and are available with low interest rates whereas there is a huge oversupply of used-cars.
