Caution: weak product warnings may be hazardous to your health
Article Abstract:
Product warnings are legal requirements which protect consumers and limit the liability which manufacturers could encounter. Firms may use product warnings to create consumer confidence and brand loyalty while others may use it to lessen their product liability costs. Sales could decrease if product warnings are issued but they also provide legal protection. However, it should be a corporate objective to increase the benefits of product warnings to firms rather than to decrease the costs of warning labels.

Radio station standards for acceptable advertising
Article Abstract:
A radio station has the option whether it wants to air any commercial or not. This is a feasible substitute for government intrusion in advertising and consumer protection known as the 'clearance process'. In a questionnaire sent to 1,000 radio stations, most stations said that a clearance process was used to safeguard the audience. Other stations indicated that not misleading and not offending the audience were important reasons why most radio stations have a clearance process.
