Article Abstract:
Westpac Banking Corporation has come into problems for allowing Alastair Brodie, former director of Flyash Group Australia, to withdraw two cheques totaling $350,000 on August 24, 2005. Brodie was not authorized to operate the account, yet, the bank, after initially dishonoring the cheques, reversed its stand. Flyash's chairman, James Boyle wants the bank to return the money, and has filed a complaint against Westpac with the police.

Article Abstract:
The big test between Qantas and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is the Federal Court assessment in November 2003 being big test for both sides. The ACCC is prosecuting Qantas in a new case, under section 46 of the Trade Practices Act, alleging Qantas had sought to eliminate, or substantially damage, Virgin Blue on the Adelaide-Brisbane route.

Article Abstract:
The Australian Taxation Office is looking into the case of Macquarie Bank although the bank says it has no tax problems.
