Contrasting perspectives on productivity bargaining: managers and union officials in the post office
Article Abstract:
Productivity bargaining was introduced the British Post Office in the early 1980s and workers and management agree that industrial relations have improved during negotiations. The Postal union felt that the most significant development was the increased formalization of relations with management. Management felt that, in the short term, productivity increased, but that this gain may be offset by long term effects.

Entrepreneurship applied to middle management: a caution
Article Abstract:
Applying the concept of entrepreneurship to middle management should be done with caution. Many companies do not wish to grant such autonomy to managers. As such, entrepreneurship cannot substitute for a contingency-based analysis of an organization's structure.
